Kids are at the center of all we do at Colleyville Children’s Dentistry. As a leading, regional provider of pediatric dental care, our team provides comprehensive oral health care from infancy through adolescence. Our goal is for children to develop and maintain a positive association with dental care early on in their lives, so they may establish positive habits as they grow. We do everything we can to create a pleasant and supportive environment for each child, starting with their very first dentist visit.
Our Pediatric Dentist
Dr. John Gober
Dr. Gober belongs to a family of dentists. His father is a general dentist in Corsicana, Texas, where Dr. Gober grew up. He has an uncle that is a general dentist and another uncle who is a pediatric dentist in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Dr. Gober attended Baylor University for his undergraduate studies and Baylor College of Dentistry obtaining his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He then completed a two-year pediatric dentistry residency at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington D.C. He has been in private practice in Colleyville since 1993 and in Saginaw since 2007. He is very active on the committee for the Texas Pediatric Surgery Center. Dr. Gober married his college sweetheart and in their free time, the two enjoy spending time on the lake and watching their son play hockey.
Dr. Kurt Harman
Dr. Harman feels incredibly blessed because he thinks that pediatric dentistry is the best job in the world. He believes that one of the requirements for working with kids is that you have to have fun. His goal for every patient visit is for each child to have a positive experience so that they can grow up and have healthy smiles.
Dr. Harman graduated from Baylor University where he received the Outstanding Biology Student award. He then attended the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston where he graduated and received the Horace Wells – Outstanding Achievement in Anesthesia distinction.
Dr. Harman went on to work in central Texas for several years as a general dentist. However, because a specialty in pediatric dentistry requires additional training, he completed a residency at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan.
When Dr. Harman is away from the office, you can find him spending time with his wife, Lauren, and their dog, named Bear. He also enjoys reading, working on hobbies, and being involved in his local church.
Dr. Serge Mechrek
Dr. Serge Mechrek is a skilled orthodontist serving the DFW area who offers both braces and Invisalign. He believes orthodontics combines dentistry’s art and science to improve facial harmony between tooth alignment and jaw position to create a beautiful, healthy smile.
Dr. Mechrek earned his B.S. in Biology from the University of North Florida and his B.D.S. from Beirut Arab University, as well as his M.S. in Dentistry and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Orthodontics from Jacksonville University. In addition, Dr. Mechrek is a member of The American Dental Association, The American Association of Orthodontists, and The Southern Association of Orthodontists.
Outside of his work, Dr. Mechrek enjoys long nature hikes with his wife and dog. With cooking being second passion in life after dentistry.
